Performance Evaluations

Flexport's review cycle currently takes place twice a year and has been designed for you to get clear, actionable feedback that can help you understand your strengths and areas of opportunity.

You can use this as an opportunity to work with your manager to identify areas of focus and set goals that will contribute to your professional development. This feedback also helps our managers make decisions about promotions and annual compensation adjustments (merit and discretionary bonuses).

Every function has a dedicated HR partner that is part of our broader People Ops team.

Interview Process

Our interview process for engineers involves:

  • Prescreen with a recruiter to cover basics of the process, candidate timeline, location preferences, etc.
  • Hiring Manager call to cover team, role, interests, and alignment
  • Technical Phone Screen (coding)
  • Face to Face (Virtual) Interviews: coding, bug identification, project deep dive, hiring manager interview, architecture design (senior-level candidates)

We aim to review and follow up on all applications within 72 hours.
