Equity is about control. If you start a company, equity matters for economics and upside. I'm a 3x YC founder and the founder at Pulley (https://pulley.com/ - we help companies manage their cap table and equity). I have a strong belief that founder-led companies are more successful in the long term. The best way to stay founder-led is for founders to maintain their control through equity. We collaborated with femstreet to write a guide on how equity works.
