Hello! My name is Megan Havlik and I would love any advice out there for feeling extreme burnout when looking for a new career. I started looking in April, and have continued to apply to new roles over the last 8 months. I have gotten numerous interviews, even a couple of offers, but nothing feels quite right. I desperately want a career that I am passionate about, one that brings me pure joy every single day. I'm not sure if I am being too picky at this point, or if I should continue to hold out for the right role, but I am starting to fear nothing will ever seem perfect. My background is in healthcare, and I am looking to transition to the health/wellness/mental health space. My previous work experience has been in operations and project management, and I am open to almost any area moving forward. My current role has been incredibly draining and unfulfilling, and I fear I am losing knowledge/skill by the day. I greatly appreciate any thoughts or guidance...thank you all so much!
Hey Megan! I think it's great that you are adamant in pursuing something that brings "pure joy every single day". Have you signed up for Elpha's talent pool? https://elpha.com/talent-pool (it may help you with your job search as you can input your values and experiences and have companies reach out to you)
Hey Megan I know I'm a month behind on this, but if you want to chat DM me. I've gone from studying finance to switching into tech, working in ops now product management, starting a side project (www.theworkmood.com) and I'm also in part time interior design school at Parsons. Would be happy to chat and see if some of my adventuring can maybe help you :)
