The Disney Bubble Effect

Hi everyone,

I'm currently a backstage Cast Member at Walt Disney World resort and feeling like I can't get away from the bubble that is Disney. When I first started at Disney lots of recruiters told me that if you have Disney on resume, people will want you. I feel like that isn't the case any more. Even with awesome experience in adminstration in and out of Disney, people just assume I'm an onstage CM.

I've applied to over 200 remote jobs and only received one interview. It was a role I couldn't take due to the pay. I feel like since I've spent most of my career at Disney people aren't interested in me. I need remote work due to a health diagnosis that makes driving pretty dangerous. How to I break out of the Disney bubble?

I'm searching Welcome to the Jungle, LinkedIn, and Wellfound. Any other great places to look for remote jobs? Thanks in advance!

What job title do you have on your resume to make them think you're an Onstage CM? (Don't worry, I know the lingo.)
It's currently Show Photographer which is part of the issue. I couldn't pass up the most Disney job I've ever had but now I feel like it corners me.
What are your job responsibilities? Can you emphasize the skills and less the title?
Do you think a Skills based resume would be good for that?
I believe so in conjunction with maybe adjusting your title i.e "Event Photographer" or "Live Media Photographer". It's the same thing (Presumably...I know CMs but with other titles) with a more serious title.
