When Founder Met Funder - Applications Open until 8/6https://www.allraise.org/events/all-events/when-founder-met-funder-1

We’re so excited to be launching our second year of the program in a fully digital format. Black female founders with tech and tech-enabled companies will get pitch advice from investors, an opportunity to network with other founders, and some inspiration. ✨ When Founder Met Funder addresses the fact that Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the US, yet they receive a negligible percentage of overall venture funding. This event offers a unique opportunity for Black female founders to connect with investors & fellow founders in Silicon Valley and beyond. Last year was a huge success with over 100 founders & 30 VCs in attendance and we're building on that momentum.Last year, All Raise — with the leadership of myself, Julia Collins (Planet FWD), and Megan Holston-Alexander (a16z) — launched #WhenFounderMetFunder, an event for Black female founders. A fraction of venture dollars is deployed to Black founders, and even less to Black female founders. We’re here to change that. This year, When Founder Met Funder is moving completely online. The event will bring together up-and-coming Black female founders for inspiring advice from investors and energizing networking with other successful Black founders. When: 9:30am — 12:00pm PT on Thursday, August 27thPart One: Founder/Funder Spotlight SessionIman Abuzeid (Incredible Health) and Jeff Jordan (Andreessen Horowitz) will walk through Incredible’s successful fundraising pitch from each of their perspectives.Part Two: Storytelling WorkshopsWe’ll break into small group storytelling sessions to practice pitching and get direct, personal feedback from VCs and fellow founders.Lunch + Small Group NetworkingApply today to join us for this special event with support from Andreessen Horowitz and YCombinator! https://www.allraise.org/events/all-events/when-founder-met-funder-1
