How to remain OPTIMISTIC in an unstable economy

The past few years have been extremely challenging for a lot of people around the world and sometimes it might feel overwhelming. Below I have a few tips that have helped me during uncertain times, and it can be useful to you as well!

Stay engaged in slack communities

You might feel alone in times like these and sometimes feel like the problem is you or your not worthy of but this isn’t the case at all there are tons of people going through the same obstacles you are and maybe it might help reaching out to those in a similar situation or have been in your situation as well.

A few I have joined:

Analyze the patterns of the economy

Some months are better than others and there are months where the economy is slow, take advantage when the economy looks like its somewhat improving and use it to apply and connect with the companies that spark interest to you. In addition, when the months where the economy doesn’t look great use it to relax, take free courses, join bootcamps or programs, tweak your resume and upskill!

Free courses I recommend:

Tracked has a free Analytics for All course and I found it extremely informational and I learned a lot about data and about industry tools they use currently!

Coursera offers a wide range of courses you can do at your own time!

LinkedIn offers a variety of wellness videos to help during difficult times

Remain focused on the goal

Whether you’re trying to obtain your first career position or looking for a new mid-senior level position always remember you will get there eventually. Consistency is key when trying to accomplish something no matter how difficult it might seem to reach something there are always ways to get there and you will get there!
