Looking to move into Sales Ops -- How do I compete?
Hi all! I'm looking to move into a Sales Ops Manager role in the next few months. I've been looking at job descriptions and there seems to be a heavy preference for people with management consulting or finance backgrounds. This is not me and it's making me nervous. =\I do have all of the technical skills these roles call for (SQL, BI tools, Hubspot and Salesforce experience, Advanced Excel) and have enterprise sales and previous sales ops experience. My question is how do I best position myself to obtain Sales Ops roles? Can any current Sales Ops Managers give me any advice?I'm struggling with how to stand out against people who have presumably worked at prestigious companies. While I may check most of the boxes, this is one I can't mark off.
