Happy new year everyone! To kick off 2021, I wanted to share the exciting news that the SMS chatbot my nonprofit, AngelShot, has been building is finally ready for beta testing. Ever ask your friend to text you so that you can use it as an excuse to leave a creepy date? AngelBot is that friend. Through some simple text-based interactions, you can tell AngelBot when your date is, and it'll check in on you and send you an excuse to bail if you need it. I know it doesn't prevent sexual violence from happening, but if this tool is able to get even one person out of their creepy date without escalating the situation, I will be so happy.We're looking for people to help us test our bot, give us feedback on whether or not the dialog flows make sense, and help us come up with some more excuses to bail. This is amazing! Many many years ago I've once set an alarm to the tune of a ringtone so that it'd go off 45 mins into a first date... sp I can decide then if I want to use it as an exit strategy like "oh XYZ just called and I have to go".By now I realize I can and should rely on my own voice, but your product is something I see as so essential to those who may be in sticky or uncomfortable circumstances! 👏
