Closing the gender gap - Join a Board or Commission - World Economic Forum Global Shapers (DEC 28)https://bit.ly/3qkJiO7

Hi Elpha Community -

The past couple years have been pretty wild. Thankfully, the New Year is just around the corner and filled with infinite possibilities. With possibility comes the chance for each of us to make our communities better. Unfortunately, there is a gap between the fierce women in this community (and generally!) and decisionmakers in our community. I'm trying to close the gap.

Running for office isn't for everyone, but great news! There are SO many ways to get involved outside your day job that have lasting impacts on your community and the future of our country (US based for now). If the question "who made that decision" has passed your lips, or "I could have helped" crossed your mind, now is your time!

I've been working on something I'd like to invite you all to. Tomorrow evening, I'm hosting a virtual event with the World Economic Forum called How to Join a Board or Commission. If you've ever been curious about walk/bike trails, housing policies and decisions in your community, technology and internet in your town, art murals and cultural programs, city finance, community health, youth mentorship, workforce development or just about anything really - you can learn how to get involved! I've listed out the details below and would love to have you join!Check out the info below & feel free to share!
