I've noticed a lot of Elpha discussion about wellnesas and bucket-list travel in 2025 so I thought I'd share this post about how to chose a wellness retreat. I've been running retreats for over a decade so I hope this can be helpful.

"Most importantly, will there be coffee"? I mean, you hit the nail on the head with that statement alone. 😉I love the list you put together - Especially the accommodation piece. I've known several retreat seekers where the sleeping arrangements were the make or break for them. *One other thing I've seen be an influence in decisions is whether the listed amenities are offered during the retreat (for instance, a space boasting a pool or body of water that's not available out of season). Additionally, pertaining to your experience in Costa Rica - I have a friend that owns a rustic retreat center in Bajos, Costa Rica that's looking for connections - with potential attendees and facilitators. Is that anything you're interested in, or have connections that might be interested?
The coffee situation is actually a very big deal for a retreat chef. You would be surprised at how much folks are up for an adventure but only *after* they have had their caffeine. On my retreats, we always make sure folks are getting plenty. RE: Costa RicaRight now I'm focused on Italy retreats only
