Narrative Select, our flagship product, is currently in open-beta. Select uses Artificial Intelligence to help photographers find their best images from a photoshoot. Narrative has a unique opportunity to join our growing AI team and build industry-leading AI. About the Role:You’ll be working directly with the Head of AI to build a world-class Data Warehouse and Machine Learning automation platform, as well as taking a lead role in coordinating a Data Labelling workforce. We are looking for an engineer with amazing potential to grow into their own with nourishing support and guidance from more experienced staff.You are naturally curious and capable of thinking outside the box to solve complex problems across a wide set of domains. You care deeply about getting to the root of the problem, taking a first principles approach to problem solving, and being relentless in the face of insurmountable challenges. We therefore particularly encourage folks from marginalised groups to apply for this role.Responsibilities:Build a sophisticated data warehouse and smart data pipelines with the help of our infrastructure and service teams.Lead and coordinate a multi-national data labelling workforce. This includes figuring out what we label and why, and then communicating this in a way that results in high-quality labeled data. Build and run models for semi-supervised labelling of training data.Work with our Data Scientists to craft the best training data sets for our models.Optimise models for various system architectures.Building systems to provide insight data into model performance.Requirements:1-2 years of industry experienceExperience writing code in JavaScript (NodeJS), Python, or similarSupremely excellent communication skillsA keen interest in AI and Machine Learning (ML)Empathy, fast learning, critical thinking, and perseverance in the face of doing difficult things that no one has ever done beforeHandy to have, but not required:Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)Masters degree or PhDExperience in the Image/Vision spaceExperience training Deep Learning modelsExperience with edge deployment, inference, and monitoring of ML modelsExperience with Graph DatabasesAn interest in photography
