πŸš€ Seeking Opportunities & Guidance! πŸš€

Hey, everyone reading this!

I’ve been navigating the challenging job market with determination. Still, I’m finding it difficult to secure even a part-time or junior position despite my five years of UX Design experience and a Masters in Cognitive Science. The words "unfortunately" and "rejected" have become all too familiar.

I've poured my soul into this journey:

  • Applied online ✔️
  • Sent countless cold emails ✔️
  • Reached out to people on LinkedIn ✔️
  • Tailored my resume with AI ✔️
  • Resume reviewed by Senior UX Designers ✔️

This journey has introduced me to many kind souls and some who believe in knowing someone deeply before extending help, which I respect and understand.

If anyone has advice or guidance or knows of any opportunities where I can demonstrate my skills, I would be incredibly grateful. It takes a lot to reach out like this, but I believe in the power of community and the kindness of strangers.

Thank you for your time :)

Talk to people you worked with in the past who know you. Build relationships. Attend conferences in person. Maybe you need a career coach who focuses on transitioning. .
Thank you for writing. I will surely follow your advice. :)I have recently moved to US. I have taken a few steps in the direction. I have joined courses and mentorship program as well.
Great! If you want to explore a career coach, you can reach out to me at [email protected]. In my interviews in my 430+ episodes of Electric Ladies Podcast, my guests and I give career advice too, especially towards the end. Best of luck!
Thanks for sharing your podcast. As someone who manages podcasts, it is great to see more women doing podcasts. Keep up the great work! Podcasting is worth it.
Thanks, Lisa!
