Mission of the Position:

  • Drive growth / leads / customer acquisition / brand awareness

Expectations & Outcomes:

  • Secure 40-50 qualified leads per month via organic growth methods
  • Context: current average is 30/month, without consistent/ongoing growth efforts
  • Context: We offer a free call; we aim to land 40-50 free coaching call bookings per month; this is separate from website views, email sign ups, quiz completions, etc

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • 2h Daily:
  • (30 mins per day) 5+ Outreach posts per day to generate growth + traffic. These are posts outside of your direct page, such as targeted groups, blogs, forums and other areas online where potential leads can be found. Re-share blog, video, and/or draft new content to post with the CEO. (Reddit, Quora, Elpha, LinkedIn Groups, FB Groups, Slack Groups, etc)
  • (60 mins per day) Daily “growth hacking” to generate targeted followers and engagement. (Outside Page) Comment on relevant conversations where prospective clients are posting/asking for help relevant to our areas of service. Utilize our spreadsheet of pre-canned responses. (Threads, Hashtags, LinkedIn articles, blogs and forums, Reddit, Quora, Elpha, LinkedIn Groups, FB Groups, Slack Groups, etc)
  • (30mins per day) Social Media Management 1 post per day across up to 3 social media channels. Utilize pre-existing backlog static content (captions) & come up with Canva design + hashtags + draft in Loomly or other scheduling tool. Post to Facebook, IG, LinkedIn. Plus, 1 video/week on IG Reels & TikTok.
  • Weekly:
  • 1 hour/week → ‘other’ quick win effort as decided each week by both parties
  • 30/min week → General weekly call with CEO for overall check in, support, questions
  • Monthly growth analytics and reporting to show progress and measure goals.. (Channels & efforts will adjust for following months dependent on metrics/learnings)

Future Evolution of the Role:

  • Decide if/when to start testing paid channels (Google Paid + advertising on unique platforms and/or standard social media channels)
  • Oversee, drive, direct growth strategy
  • Oversee all areas of marketing funnel
  • Run partnerships & other marketing efforts
  • Oversee website designer
  • Oversee 1-2 marketing interns

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-7 years experience managing and driving organic growth for a d2c startup
  • Has proven to drive 2-5% MoM growth in number of D2C leads
  • Comfort with creative growth hacks, community management (posting & commenting & being part of digital conversations), leveraging various platforms and digital channels to reach prospective customers
  • Orientation towards results and metrics
  • Adept at taking existing, original content/materials and easily, efficiently delivering that content to various channels & platforms to build brand awareness
  • Comfortable working directly with CEO
  • Comfortable working in a small, scrappy, bootstrapped startup
  • Comfortable in ambiguity

Must be comfortable with:

  • Create a consistent weekly schedule for your 2-3 hours/day between 9am-6pm est
  • Log time spent at end of each day
  • Keep project management tool up to date daily
  • Send a reference (prior client)’s email & phone number prior to offer

Pay:

  • $1500/month, 12 hours/week
