I've led my company WOKEN for 7 years.
'The main thing that keeps me going is knowing that I am doing what I am truly best at. Figuring out how to pursue this path well is the only thing I need to focus on, not where I should be. I know exactly where I should be, and that career clarity is freeing. That’s the feeling I want every professional to have — it’s a feeling we all deserve, knowing exactly where we belong professionally. Interestingly, the journey just continues. It’s not that I often question stopping, it feels natural to continue doing what I love, but it isn’t easy to run a company. I get more used to that challenging feeling, but there are definitely constant struggles. However, when I hear of all the challenges of the traditional 9-5 from my clients, it reminds me how fortunate I am to run my own show. I’m so grateful that we continue to have the opportunity to have impact on our clients’ lives and careers. I'm grateful for our clients trust, and for our coaches and powerful team that keeps the wheels turning. I’ve learned a few things over the years and I know that I’ll only continue to keep learning — here is some of what I’ve noticed from my experience running the company, and also the trends I notice with clients.
