1 in 3 Americans has some type of criminal record. Even old and minor records can hold people back and prevent them from achieving their full potential. While most states have a legal process that allows someone to clear a criminal record, those systems are costly and complicated. Most people need a lawyer to help them navigate the system, but most people can’t afford one.

Rasa is a new, mission-driven legal tech company with a mission to make the process of clearing a criminal record simple and affordable for everyone. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, we are building two products: (1) a modern, cloud-based web application to help individuals determine their legal eligibility for expungement; and (2) a back-end case management and document automation system to streamline the legal expungement process and manage all client matters and communications.

We are looking for a skilled and mission-driven full-stack software engineer to be our Head of Engineering. The Head of Engineering will be responsible for leading a small team of developers to responsible for building our technology, and working alongside the CEO to help set the technical strategy and roadmap for the company.

This is a full-time role, but remote is OK.

Tech stack: flexible, but currently using GCP, BigQuery, node.js, and Vue

Salary: 130-165K + potential for equity
