Setting up a new warehouse for battery startup - tips on working with city?

Hi Elphas!My company is expanding and we have identified a new bigger warehouse in Southern California (LA county). We will be doing a lot of battery testing, so will be looking to (cost-effectively) design some additional safety features into the building. Is there anyone out there with experience in this area on working with this jurisdiction? My cofounder has called the city a few times but keeps getting bounced around. Just looking for any tips so we don't waste a lot of time and money just to get things set up.Thank you!-Zora
