Please help me: how do I make the mindset shift from working for a company to creating my own?

It seems completely insane to me that anyone could just up and create a start-up. All the advice I come across online talks about tips after you've already had experience with trying to create a startup. But I have this preliminary blocker beforehand. I think creating a company is reserved for a select, elite group of people who have the prerequisites that I am unaware of.

do you have any advice on how I can make a mindset shift? I am super driven and I want to make my own impact, and working a regular 9-5 is killing my soul because I feel like I am not living out my purpose.

But how do I make the mindset shift? How do I begin working towards my own dreams?

what I'm doing currently is waking up every morning at 5am and spending the first 3h on coding apps and have a goal of releasing some thing once a week. I read from Paul Grahams essays that building things is an important characteristic of a founder. So I'm focusing on building a habit of that.

if you have any feedback, I would really appreciate it.
