Hi Vivian - I've spent my career in M&A so happy to help. Without knowing anything about the situation or your company, M&A is financed by cash, stock, or debt (or a combination of these). What type of financing you get is dictated by the size of the deal, the profile of your firm, and your firm's financial profile/viability but what is also important to know is what kind of financing you actually need...and this is partially dependent on what the counterparty is willing to accept. They may only want a cash deal or they could want a stock deal (if they think your company is going to experience hockey-stick growth).
