The Amazon Alexa Fund announced new programs to improve diversity, inclusion, and equity for tech startup founders. The first events is Women Founders Represent, a pitch event with All Raise offering up to $1 million investment from the Amazon Alexa Fund for women entrepreneurs on Thursday, November 19, 2020. The deadline to submit pitch applications is 5:00 PM PT on October 6, 2020. The event is designed to support women inclusive of non-binary individuals, genderqueer, genderfluid, gender non-conforming, LGBTQIA+, all minority genders, military and former military; and especially individuals identifying as Black, Latinx, and Native American and Indigenous. They want startups who have already secured at least $250K in funding (venture capital, friends and family, angel investors, grants, etc.), but welcome and encourage companies of all stages to apply.
