As the holiday season approaches, I hope you'll all join me in our quarterly letter-writing to incarcerated people.
People locked up in prisons are still experiencing the brunt of COVID-19, harsh temperatures, poor health conditions, physical and verbal abuse, and more.So far, through Soapbox Project, we've written 500+ letters to incarcerated people since we first started in January. It's one of the biggest ways you can make a difference, and our participants have shared how much this experience has changed their own lives.
On Wednesday October 27, Adelaida Caballero will share her own experiences being incarcerated and we will invite you to ask questions, find penpals, and spread some holiday cheer in a place that needs it the most. You'll write 5 letters each, so even if we get 20 people to sign up, you'll have changed the lives of *100 people*.Use an hour of your Wednesday evening, find some new friends, learn something new, and make an enormous difference!
We'll send you everything you need -- all you have to do is sign up.
No experience needed whatsoever, and there are no silly questions! We're here to welcome you; save your spot here:https://www.mixily.com/event/761513207190108414
