CAREER TRANSITION / BOOST

Hi everyone I am new here and I beg for your indulgence. I am Fortune a young mum from Cameroon I have been off work since March of this year due to the layoffs from my amazing Customer service remote role. Since then I have been job searching and will go through a series of interviews and end up being rejected.

So for a while now I have been thinking about whether I should redirect my career or just continue job searching.

I thought about starting in Tech/cybersecurity I have always been amazed by that.

Can I have your points of view, advice, etc about that?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Fortune, fellow Cameroonian here too :)Check this page for all the Customer support roles our partner companies are hiring for https://elpha.com/jobs/customer-support?sort=newestA lot of them are remote too, in addition Calendly is hiring https://careers.calendly.com/jobs/ @shannanfarmer is a recruiter there, maybe she has insights!
Hello IynnaThanks you so much I will check that straight away
Hi @fortunebingan! Given what you're writing, I'd recommend pursuing career exploration, which is a process that is distinct from and a precursor to the job search, including a series of steps of practical learning and self-reflection in order to compare, contrast, and clarify which career path you are confident in pursuing. THAT is the process whereby you can confidently narrow in on which role, industry and environment is the best fit for you. In fact, I've helped numerous professionals to figure out, clarify, and pursue their ideal career direction. While pivots might seem big and scary, they're often more feasible than you think, but you at least deserve to identify which path would be the best fit for you first, and then determine what your strategy, approach or next steps would be. PS, I’m Rachel, a Career Coach. I’d be happy to discuss this further if you want to hop on a call -- check my profile for how to book time with me. I’m here to help! Talk soon!
Hello, Rachel thank you very much for your insight. Will work on that straight away.
