The Women in Data Science (WiDS) NYC Conference starts next week, and this year our theme is on Data Science Impact and Activism! It's a free virtual conference and will take place over the next two weeks. There are four sessions in total, each with a different focus: (1) Inclusive & Equitable Data Science (Aug 4)(2) Data Science Innovators (Aug 6)(3) From Data Science Research to Economic Impact (Aug 11)(4) Ethics in Data Science (Aug 13)The session I'm moderating on Aug 4 (Inclusive & Equitable Data Science) will feature a keynote presentation on Roles for Computing in Social Justice, followed by a panel about Building a Holistic and Inclusive Data Science Ecosystem.
