The Birth Control Database will be filing for 501(c)(3) status in early 2023. As such, we're looking for Founding Board Members to support the continued development, growth, and operations of BCDB.
❣️Regardless of your experience, if you are interested in empowering uterus-having people to make informed decisions about their healthcare, please apply! We're looking for passionate movers and shakers, not a piece of paper from an overrated university or an arbitrary number of years' experience. As Shania Twain would say, "That don't impress me much." ❣️
Try searching "birth control options" in Google. Feel free to get fancy: "birth control for me," "birth control options." We'll wait.
Okay, what did ya find? Sites for expensive hormone tests, pharmaceutical companies pushing their brands, or vague blog posts ("Try an IUD instead of the pill!"). It's time uterus-having people get the information they're seeking to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
Enter BCDB: a totally free, easy to use AND understand birth control database. It's a research-driven tool helping people sort through hundreds of birth control options. With doctors keeping only a select few brands top of mind - normally brands that have given them monetary compensation - the birth control database (BCDB) is inclusive of all (well... a lot of) available options. It gives people the contraceptive knowledge needed to confidently start a conversation with their doctor.
