When you think of writing your book or working on your latest project or creating your next marvel in at your workbench, do you want to run away? Turn on the TV and numb yourself? Hide in the bathroom?Maybe you’ve fallen out of love with your work. Maybe you need a new direction.Or, maybe you’re just empty and exhausted. As creative people, we spend most of our time sending our energy out into the world. Each project, each personal essay, blog post, article, book takes a little piece of us and spins it out to our audience. They marvel at the beauty, consuming its inspiration. And we love creating, so we send more of our inspiration and energy and beauty and joy out to them, draining those parts of our own creative well. So, occasionally, we have to take time to refill that creative well. When we take these necessary breaks to rest and rejuvenate, we find new inspirations, new ways to be creative, new forms that revive our love of our work.I'm LA (as in tra-la-la) Bourgeois, a creativity and business coach, and this July, I invite you to join me for my free “Refill Your Well Not-A-Challenge.” During this time, I’ll be sending a special series of emails engaging you in refilling that well. We’ll focus on our physical body’s needs (how about a NAP?!), take a time-out from the hustle, and find the inspiration to rediscover the joy of our creativity. The only rules? No pressure. No expectation. No guilt. The benefits? A renewed love for your art, unexpected joy, fun with friends and family during the most riotous part of the summer!Doesn't that sound delicious?
