Hi everyone,
I recently started a group coaching program for female engineers entering the Tech industry for the first time.
Very quickly we started talking about burnout, having boundaries at work and concrete ways to enforce them (through process, estimation, management).
It's a topic near and dear to my heart as it's something I found really challenging in the beginning of my career.
I thought about why burnout is so common in tech and especially in startups and I think it has a lot to do with a lack of process, a limited runway and many unknowns as well as inexperienced leadership.
I made a video about this topic and suggested 4 concrete ways to avoid it (to some extent).
I'd love to know your own experiences with burnout and your thoughts on how to avoid it, if you're comfortable to share.
