Work sample request during interview - which doesn't make sense considering my role - looking for inpute

Hi - I am interviewing for a Digital Customer Success role - meaning creating the 1:many digital experience for customers, as part of the Customer Success team that focuses on 1:1 communications.

After one interview, I was asked: . . . enjoyed chatting with you and we'd love for you to send over some work samples as a next step.

I have never been asked for this before - I have no idea what kind of samples they want - I am not a designer or a writer. I develop campaigns that engage with customers to increase customer usage of a product. Plus if I sent anything over, it would not make sense - I don't write or design comms, I lead the strategy for programs to leverage data to build relationships.

I am wondering if I am misunderstanding the job. I wrote this response - what do you think? Any suggestions?

I am happy to share some work samples. Can you be more specific about the types of samples are you looking for? What are you trying to understand and what questions are you looking to answer? Can we set up time for me to take you through them so I can share the context and goals of each?

Thank you!
