Consulting in a Product Strategy Role, need advice on terms to include in the contract

I'm starting an early stage startup consulting role as their lead product strategist to launch the MVP. Since contracting is new territory for both the founders and me, I'm trying to research key terms to include in the contract. Would love advice from anyone who has contracted as an early stage product strategist/manager, specifically: what deliverables did you outline (how detailed did you get) and did you do an hourly or fixed rate compensation structure?
