Hello Elpha Bay Area! I wanted to let you know about an amazing event starting next week in San Francisco. There is an art exhibit centering on art by womxn artists in San Francisco, called Women Rising, at the fun and dynamic Drawing Room Annex. The show opens next week and goes until March 29th, with the opening reception on March 7th, 5-9pm. In the words of the curators, "The Drawing Room will celebrate Women’s History Month in March with an exhibition in its new Annex space, located at 2675 Mission street. This exhibition aims to showcase the diverse and vibrant SF women artists community, and demonstrate each artist’s mastery of craft and innovation of their artform. We want to show this fine city what SF Women Artists are made of and how we’re working to represent this community and bring women UP!The Drawing Room will host artist talks over the duration of the month of March, called the “Sunday Series” and will include hearing from 10 artists, each for 10 minutes each Sunday."See the link for more details! I have a piece in the show, so I am personally invested in it ;) It would be fun to see some Elpha members there!
