Hi, I am Lisa, the co-founder of ramen.Labs. I am delighted to be part of this community and would like to introduce you to ramen.network - a freelancer-first platform we just launched.

Why did we start building ramen.network?

With the exponential rise of remote work, changing worker expectations, and the “global experiment” called pandemic we were all forced into in 2020, Freelancing is actually becoming a recognized career choice many people are thinking about - not as a temporary fix “until I find a job”, but an actual long-term decision.

Workers are asking themselves:

Why do I actually have to work 9 to 5, 5 days a week? Why not 4 days for 4 hours each, when I am more productive and in flow?

“I only have a limited number of days on this planet. How can it be that I spend 80% of it on work, which was supposed to be a means to enable me to have a good life, but has now overtaken my life entirely?”

These questions all lead to more and more people choosing Freelancing.

Unfortunately, today’s professional software platforms that enable freelancers to build their brand, promote their services and find clients, are primarily built for the Client.

Freelancers are reduced to "FTE per hour", have to force themselves into a hypercompetitive, and, moreover, pay a pretty significant fee for every contract.

Many freelancers, therefore, prefer LinkedIn as a way to find clients. But LinkedIn was not designed for freelancers specifically. You have to use workarounds to create your marketing page, prove your reputation and build your network. And once you start getting 1000 client requests per day via LinkedIn, your DMs explode - try spending the whole day on sorting job offers instead of creating value or just chilling on the beach!
