I'm trying to move my family up north to Canada, and wondering if anyone has experience as an American getting hired by a Canadian company to have their visa sponsored. I currently work for an American company that does have offices in Canada, but not in the area I'm looking to move to, and no good reason to want to sponsor me... I'm going to ask, but I have no expectations that they'll want me to move further away from our Bay Area offices.

Any advice or ideas?
