Hi everyone,

I am in a bit of a conflict at the moment about reaching out /marketing a game I have been developing for roughly the past year.

For context, I am making it as a surprise for my best friends as the main goal, but at the same time, I would love to publish it down the line for everyone to play it!

The issue is that they and I are connected on LinkedIn, and while they don't use their account really (or much social media in general), I'm afraid that they might find out, and the surprise might be ruined. At the same time, I am tempted to post on LinkedIn just because that is the place I have the most connections.

I guess I was just wondering, should I go about organically growing a following elsewhere, or if I should be posting on LinkedIn to connect with fellow developers and potentially gain more traction?

Any help or advice would be highly appreciated! :)

In the meantime, I have attached a screenshot if anyone would like to see!

Could the surprise be the MVP? No matter what, there will still be bugs in the version you give them.So maybe show it to your friends on the sooner side, and then you can start growing your following / waitlist / users publicly.
I like the idea of this! Thank you so much! :) So maybe I'll slow down my devlog and focus more on getting an MVP, and once that is there, I'll try to refine it further. Sounds like a good balance, appreciate this! :D
