it's not always a clear path. the path may involve multiple parallel paths. lateral moves are not off the table. open space to explore multipassionate interests.
That's a great point! It's true that career paths aren't always linear, and sometimes the most rewarding journeys involve unexpected turns.I'm curious to know: How do you balance exploration and focus when pursuing multiple interests? Do you have a specific strategy to avoid feeling overwhelmed or scattered?
I follow my heart + ask my intuition about the best next step for me. Curious, do you know your human design?
Hi @KQ, I wonder what do you mean under human design? I'm working with Maryna on building the roadmaps for career changes and I wonder if understanding human design might be helpful?
human design helped me understand my energy + how it's designed to work in the world (and interact with others). it's been insanely helpful for me. you can pull a free chart at myhumandesign.com + if you need help decoding it, I do offer readings + an intro masterclass! but, there are TONS of resources online.
That’s interesting! Thank you for your response. I’m not familiar with Human Design. Could you please elaborate on how it has helped you in your career planning? I’m always open to learning new approaches.
human design really helped me when I was in corporate. I am a projector. we are 20% of the population. our energy is deep + penetrative, needs to be invited in. seeing things under the surface (that many were not ready to see), I understand how I needed to wait to be invited in to share my insights, so I didn't feel unrecognized. it was a huge pivot for me. now, I apply similar principles in building my own business. as with any system, I always say suck out the juice + spit out the pits - take what resonates + leave the rest behind. we always know ourselves best. x
Hi @marynakosau! The key to a successful career journey is thoughtful planning and ongoing reflection to help you navigate each transition effectively. I recommend starting by clarifying both short- and long-term goals. Each month, reflect on where you are and set small, achievable goals that bring you closer to your big vision. Prioritizing can feel overwhelming, so focus on skills and experiences that align closely with your target role and industry.Breaking down big goals is all about making them manageable and specific—consider using milestones to track progress. You can also think about how skills from one field might strengthen your approach in a new field. For instance, skills from Fashion or entrepreneurship might contribute to problem-solving and creativity in UX.
