Hello Elpha community!
I’d like to introduce myself - I’m Sage Randall, a marketing executive, a partner with Hire Women Week and Lady Bird Talent, and an advocate for Diversity in the workplace.
One of the Keynotes we are developing for Hire Women Week is focusing on diversity in the workplace, what we are calling “When You’re the Only in the Room.”
We're inviting you to share your story and help women navigate difficulties in the workplace.
Are you the only woman of color in the room? The only Latinx? The only APAC? The one neurodivergent team member? The only trans person? The only one with disabilities? The only LGBTQIA+? The only Muslim? The only one over 50 in your startup? We want to hear your stories and promote the inclusion of all minds and backgrounds in the workplace.
This is an open call for stories of diversity of all kinds. How have you been accommodated in a way that you believe should be a standard of practice? Have you openly faced discrimination with a lack of allyship? What are the eminent challenges you face as “The Only” in the room?
Below is a link to a Google Form with a short series of questions. Please feel free to keep these stories anonymous. This keynote will be a Motion Graphics Animation style, so to those stories that are featured, an actor will read your story in your place. If you are interested in actively participating in this project, we will be happy to feature your real name and voice.
