I struggled so hard with finding my first tech job. Back in 2015 when I was working in consulting, I applied to 100+ jobs but got invited to recruiter screens for only 8 of them. I recruited outside of my 9-5 work hours because I couldn’t afford to quit and recruit full time (even though I wanted to, because the stress and my full plate was getting to me). It took me 6 months to get a new job offer, and that’s how I switched into tech. Sound familiar? I later learned that this is a common story for many people.
