Hi everyone! I've mostly been a silent observer in this community, and even so it's been such a great support system and an amazing resource :) I'm here with an ask for some guidance for someone I know looking to get her first step in her career.

I've been mentoring a hardworking and intelligent woman in NYC since she was in high school in 2017 (through iMentor - do check it out when you have a moment!). She's originally from Ethiopia and has had some really tough shake ups in life. All through that time, she's shown such inspiring resilience, no amount of words would do it justice. She's been entirely on her own a few months after coming to this country, and has worked her way up to becoming a Supervisor at CVS in the Bronx. She's had to take a break from college, but has continued taking bookkeeping and accounting courses on Coursera, and practicing with various other resources online.

Would anyone happen to know of an internship or any part-time opportunity in Bookkeeping / Accounting (remote or in-person in NYC) or a receptionist role (remote or in-person in NYC) where my friend can get some real-world work experience? Ideally, it includes some level of training and a bit of guidance for the first few weeks.
