One of the big questions on the minds of remote companies new and old is how to set their compensation startegies across state lines and borders. The obvious question is "well, what are other companies doing." We certainly get asked this a lot but have never been able to give a trully good answer as the extend of existing practices has never been thoroughly researched. So instead of giving the same handful of examples we are aware of (Google, Buffer, Github, HelpScout) we have created a survey that aims to unravel the trends.
