Honorarium- How Should I Decide My Rate

Hey Elphas! My name is Danielle and I am seeking advice on how much I should charge for my very first paid speaking engagement! I will be speaking on a panel about the GDPR + digital colonialism + lack of data protection laws across in east Africa. Here are additional deets:

Data and AI conference in Germany (panel format)
I am an attorney
Published author on digital colonialism + GDPR
Guest lectured at MIT

The conference is being organized by four universities and will take place at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig, Germany.

Hi Danielle,As a past conference organiser, I would suggest asking the organising team the following:- What's their budget for speakers?If it's a paid conference, look at how much they are charging attendees and consider what you would consider a fair fee to charge for your expertise and experience.
