A conversation about ending workplace bullying of female surgeonshttps://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_IvqO95AEQ0OPnNc3NA_lbg

Bullying of female surgeons — by nurses, by other staff, by physicians — must stop. Spend 45 minutes with surgeons who envision a kinder workplace — one that's better for everyone, including patients. Dr. Pringl Miller, Dr. Kevin Pei, Dr. Alex Tatem, Dr. Sarah Temkin, Dr. Jane van Dis, and Dr. Kelly Wright break down what's going on, what you can do now, and what we all must do going forward to change the culture. Moderated by Dr. Julie Cantor.
I’m not a surgeon, but honestly reading this leaves me sad and perplexed...is there a field where we don’t have to struggle?Thank you for raising awareness with such an event.
These attitudes towards women in leadership that pervade the workplace seem universal. The operating room remains the epicenter of toxic sexism within the healthcare system. Thank you for sharing this. Do you know if female surgeon immigrants are even more disproportionately bullied? I have a hypothesis that this is true but I haven't yet looked for data so I thought I'd ask you. I have heard from others in medical that female immigrants in biotech tend to be more highly exploited. Wondered how immigrant status impacts surgeons. Thank you.
