Started my own YouTube channel about tech, career and startups!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppmWY9HsRr4
I wish there were more resources about what careers ACTUALLY looked like when I graduated with a CS degree in 2015.Big tech? Startup? PM? Engineer UX? Interviews? Exhausting!I flip-flopped between roles for a while, before finally finding my fit. I asked a LOT of questions and trialed a BUNCH of different opportunities to finally decide on a path forward that felt right.I decided to start a YouTube channel demystifying as much as possible about tech, startups and careers for a "younger me".I started off by sharing a day in my life as a PM to help other aspiring PMs get a better grasp of what the job really looks like π©π»βπ»Would love to hear any comments, feedback, thoughts, suggestions or advice from the lovely Elphas!
I absolutely love this!! Very authentic view of a day in your life. What did you use to record your screen that obfuscates the details via pixellation? (Or was that done in post?)
I did that in post (:I used Final Cut Pro and there's a pretty nifty "Censor" filter that you can add in the shape of a circle where you can adjust the pixelation level and how big the radius is. Not perfect, but does the job!
Very cool!!
Very helpful for young students and even high school students. I have been showcasing young professionals to high school students about various careers and majors through our interviews. Here is one on public health: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbCv7Kytdu4.Yours feels so organic and I would love to connect with you to share your experience of being a CS grad.
I actually put together a video comparing software engineering to product management today as well (:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3XZea2-Ofk&feature=youtu.be
