Hi I'm Stephanie, I recently graduated with a Ph.D. in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. I'd like to make the jump to the corporate world (fem or sextech in particular), but it hasn't been an easy transition. I want to invite other academics and ex-academics to this new community. I hope this can become a space where we can ask questions, share success stories and recourses, vent, and even find mentors. Please join if you too are wanting to make the jump, or if you have any advice for people like us!

Hello all, thanks @stephaniekoziej for setting this up. I'm a post-doctoral researcher (for another 10 days) in workplace learning/management. I'm not going to work for a company in May, but expanding my company. I'll keep on teaching for Northwestern University, simply because the students & colleagues are fun. @MandyVarley is also a PhD who turned her back on academia. She can talk about her success story and how she landed her job outside of academia.
So nice to meet everyone! Iām also a PhD candidate, in Spanish and Portuguese (so cool to see another humanities person, @stephaniekoziej)Iām also making the pivot ā not necessarily to corporate, but would love to share resources and help to grow the phd community within Elpha
