There are few people who have had an outsized impact on women in tech. Leah Solivan @leahsolivan, founder of TaskRabbit, is one of them. Her unique experience in Silicon Valley as one of the very few female tech CEOs didn’t slow her down, as she raised over $50 million dollars in venture funding and expanded TaskRabbit internationally. Then later oversaw the company’s sale to IKEA. She’s dedicated to reshaping women’s education to fill the “pipeline problem” of women entering into technology careers
She’s someone who I’ve admired from afar and I’m honored to host her for Ascend’s Women in Leadership fireside chat on September 29th. We’ll dive into:
- Her journey from engineer to founder of a category defining company and now investor
- How to have your ideas taken seriously when you’re the only woman in the room
- How to manage burnout when you’re accelerating your career
