You can be the smartest person in the room but if you don’t have the presence to go along with it, you’ll lose all the influence you’re working and striving toward. Much of how women (and men) are perceived as leaders is tied to the way they communicate. In the male-dominated environment of tech and the C-Suite, it becomes even more important for women to convey confidence and credibility. If you want your voice and authority to be heard and respected, a powerful executive presence is required.

About the Facilitator:
Karen Houghton is the CEO and Founder of Infinite Giving, a modern investment firm for nonprofits. Previously Karen served as the Vice President of Atlanta Tech Village, America’s 4th largest tech hub. During her tenure, Village startups collectively raised over $2B, created more than 9,000 jobs, and were a driving force behind the rise of innovation in the southeast. Karen also served as a Venture Partner with Atlanta Ventures helping with early stage investments in outstanding technology founders who were building companies from scratch.
In addition to her tech and investment background, Karen was also the Founder and an Executive Director of a nonprofit, the Do Good Initiative. Today she actively serves on several nonprofit boards.
Karen has been the recipient of the Women In Technology's Woman of the Year Award and ATP's Impact Award in 2019, Berry College's Distinguished Alumni Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in 2020, and has been recognized as one of Salesforce’s 10 Small Business Women Who Inspire.
