Hi ladies,Just wanted to let you know, if you haven’t heard by now, that 2 cases of COVID-19 haven been confirmed in SF. I believe the patients are being treated at ZSFG and St Mary’s. My take on this development is that it was bound to happen and that more cases will follow. However, remember that for relatively healthy humans, there isn’t much to worry about in terms of morbidity and (especially) mortality. Keep your hands clean and away from your face (particularly your eyes, which you should not be regularly touching anyway). Also, use common sense, like wiping down any gym equipment you’re about to use and also steering clear of the ER or urgent care unless you absolutely must go (eg horrific bike accident). Also try to keep in mind that any human, regardless of age and ethnic background, is susceptible. I’ve been reading about an increase of “casual xenophobia,” which makes me shake my head. Honestly, of all the bad things related to COVID-19, I find this to be one of the more frightening. Anyway, this too shall pass. We’ll get through it together with chapped hands from excessive hand-washing! With all the washing and sanitizing I’ve been doing, I feel like I’ve been in the OR nonstop haha.PS Linking to this awesome and very practical COVID-19 guide: https://elpha.com/posts/7l3th0c7/coronavirus-planning-for-your-startup — thanks @halle!PPS Linking to this excellent memo from Sequoia re: COVID-19 and its impact on the startup landscape: https://link.medium.com/fIZoJ2MTC4
