Welcome to All things D2C!
Hey there, I'm Karla Fernandez, the moderator of All Things D2C. I'm a journalist turned entrepreneur, and I'm obsessed with direct-to-consumer brands (D2C), literally obsessed!I started this because I enjoy learning and writing about the tactics and strategies behind the most innovative brands that are transforming our world. I hope many of you find this valuable and enjoyable as well.I believe that many of these brands, like Casper, Away, Glossier, and Warby Parker, can teach us all a thing or two about differentiation. They're using innovation, creativity, and social impact -in many cases- to transform the consumer experience and disrupt the market.Today's entrepreneurs, more than ever, are striving to build businesses that make a difference in the world. Businesses that make money (we all love money) but that also but pursue a path more significant than just profit. We call ourselves impact entrepreneurs. So, if you consider yourself an impact entrepreneur, a disruptor, or you're just obsessed with these brands as I am, I truly believe this a place for you.So, with that, I'm curious to know your thoughts about this topic? Which D2C brands you love? And which ones would you like to learn from? What founders of these companies you admire and will love to have on a Q&A? What type of content do you want to see?I'll leave you with this quote from George Bernard Shaw:"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."- George Bernard Shaw.I can't wait to meet you all.PS. I'm relatively new here but have been enjoying this community so far. Shout out to @kuan and @cadran for building this amazing community.
