Office Hours: I’ve driven billion-dollar expansion for Microsoft and Oracle. I co-founded a thriving cloud product company and $1B economic access community for women from the ground up. I’m Chaitra Vedullapalli. AMA!Featured

Hi everyone!

I’m Chaitra Vedullapalli. I am a curious tech entrepreneur. I love to curate people and ideas to create massive economic access for all. I build tech innovations using Cloud and AI. I am also the co-founder and CMO of Meylah, an end-to-end solution focused on helping customers to modernize their business with Cloud solutions.

Combining expertise in AI, IoT, SaaS, and cybersecurity with market insight, I’ve driven billion-dollar expansion for Microsoft and Oracle, founded a thriving cloud services company from the ground up, and grown and optimized businesses through large-scale digital transformations across complex, global environments.

I’m a passionate steward of economic development and firmly believe that successful organizations focus on both shareholder and stakeholder value. Through Women in Cloud, we are creating $1B in economic access for women tech founders and professionals to succeed in the $7 Trillion Dollar Cloud Ecosystem.

In addition to serving as co-founder and CMO of Meylah and co-founder of Women in Cloud, I speak and write about cloud technology and economic inclusion and have presented before the United Nations and at industry events such as TEDx, Grace Hopper Celebration, and Microsoft Inspire.

I also serve a wide range of non-profit boards and am currently exploring opportunities to advise public and private companies on technology, go-to-market, geo-expansion, high performing multicultural teams and building diverse board & governance strategies.

In my spare time, I like to cook, host get-togethers, create art, read books and watch movies.

Ask me anything about product development with cloud/AI, Cloud Cosell GTM with Hyperscalers, community building, running tech accelerators, building high-performing remote teams, strategy development, policy advocacy, fundraising, influential leadership, managing your executive presence or anything else!

Wow so inspiring to read about all the things you have done Chaitra. Thanks so much for answering our questions.- You mention that you are exploring opportunities to advise public and private companies on technology. How does that exploration look like? I'm looking to do the same in a lower scale, working mainly with non-tech entrepreneurs. What would you recommend to keep in mind while working on the offering of my services?- Can you talk more about Women in Cloud and how other women in tech can learn or improve on the cloud side?
Thanks Catherine. Love your questions.Board service is an ultimate service. People, Planet and Profit is what every company is trying to balance. My contribution can help any company public or private to become ESG ready and/or cloud cosell ready.Knowing what you can contribute is very critical. Here is my checklist for you to explore:1. Know Thyself - how can you add value2. Contribute to their outcomes - as supplier, employee, partner, etc.. -- find ways to know them well.3. Meet Board members and explore board service if it is right for you.About Women in CloudWomen in Cloud is a community-led economic development organization taking collective action to generate $1B in new net economic access for women entrepreneurs and professionals by 2030 through global partnerships with corporations, community leaders, and policy makers. Thank you so much for this @chaitraV Your Journey is very inspiring. What advice would you give to an early-career women in tech who is passionate to make it big but barely has any experience in tech world ?
What a fantastic question. To make it big in tech, you need to learn three things:1. Investing in building executive presence -- your gravitas - positive, self motivated, calm under stress, building trust and problem solver2. Creating access for others in your community to grow. watch my ted talk, i share SIP model for creating economic access.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X-xtdSEcas&t=5s3. Mastery -- focus on a specific topic that you can master and be value to the world. But skilled as Swiss army knife :) capable of executing projects with ease. These are my go to strategies. I hope it helps you to explore yourself and go BIG. Join Women In Cloud and we focus on these areas to develop women to become leaders and ICONS in the tech industry.

Hi Chaitra! Thanks so much for the resources and for spending time with us on Elpha 💖I totally echo Katherine in that statement -- so inspiring to hear about all of the things you're invested in!Has being a founder/fundraising and also running an accelerator opened your eyes to any advice for founders in the Cloud/AI space? Which came first (going after funding yourself or helping other companies get off the ground) in your career?
