Financial advisors are responsible for providing advice to clients on their financial situation. A financial advisor’s knowledge and skills extend across a range of disciplines, from investments to taxes and estate planning, and they often specialize in particular types of investments.

Portfolio managers are responsible for managing a portfolio of investments for clients. They conduct research on behalf of their clients, buy and sell stocks and other investments, and provide guidance on investment strategies.

Investment bankers provide advice on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other corporate finance activities. This is a highly-specialized field that requires a deep understanding of the industry, financial markets, and regulatory structures.

Finally, loan officers are responsible for approving loan applications for clients. They assess an applicant’s creditworthiness, income, and other factors to determine whether a loan should be granted.

Hello @elodieaerolo my son is looking for a summer internship in the banking industry. Do you know of any intern positions that are available. Thanks.
Sorry ! No idea
@ChitraFrench where is your son? what year is he in? and does he want to do traditional IB, or something else like retail, consumer, etc? I am asking because the bulge bracket (Goldman, MS, JP etc) and even boutique (Moelis, Evercore etc) have programmes specifically for students with a goal to recruit them for FT roles upon graduation.Depending on your answers to my questions above, his career centre might have info as well!
