The Science of Self-Compassion Workshop Aug 1sthttps://www.meghangieber.com
Pain is part of the universal experience of being human. We all go through it, but we can feel alone in our suffering when we separate ourselves from others and let our inner critic take over our minds. Self-compassion helps us lean into pain with awareness, nurture, and kindness so that we no longer shrug our pain off or avoid it. By creating a safe space for our challenges, we are able to acknowledge that they exist and then move through them until we feel relief.Studies prove that self-compassion does the following:-Builds self-confidence and strengthens the part of the brain that makes you happier, more resilient, and motivated. β¨-Generates new neural networks in the brain when we repeatedly practice it, making us happier overall.-Is more effective than "tough love" in motivating ourselves to overcome challenges.-Helps us find a better perspective on our pain so that we donβt feel alone.-Cultivates more peace and stability so that we can get through pain more gracefully.Join me on Saturday, August 1st at 10 am PT for my next 60-minute workshop on Zoom! During this workshop, we will talk about the science of self-compassion before going through different tools and exercises for bringing more of it into your life.
