Elphas,
We could use your help in spreading the word about our upcoming hackathon. As a mom of two sons, I can tell you how mentally exhausting it is to worry about them every time they leave the house. Despite talking to them about how to conduct themselves if stopped by law enforcement, it is still a stressful situation.
This is why I am organizing a hackathon that focuses on socio-tech issues and can help build solutions for better policing of black communities.
For Nelson Mandela International Day and the World Youth Skills Day, Essteem is organizing a hackathon to enable better-policing practices for our Black communities in the US. Join us on July 17th for Better Policing of Black Communities
Through the use of technology, we hope to provide a sense of security for parents of Black children and improve the relationship between Black communities and the police.
We are offering three tracks to provide an inclusive environment for coders and non-coders.
I hope you can join us and spread the word!
