If I could do/be...

This year, my New Year's resolution was to be truly authentic to who I am. I have made so many changes (no more makeup, doing/saying something unpopular, etc) and I feel better for it.

If there is one thing you could do to be more authentic but you're afraid of the consequences,

  1. what would it be?
  2. what do you fear the consequences would be?

It's funny, but I have always loved cateye glasses. I wear them now and always get compliments, usually followed by, "I could never pull that off." I always ask why they feel that way? What harm comes from wearing a certain type of glasses frames? Isn't it funny how we put so many self-imposed restrictions on ourselves? As women, let's be a bit "misbehavin' " and own it. We deserve it.

Sheri, I get this all the time with my hair cuts! I wear super short hair pretty often (to be honest, I change it up a lot) and people say that to me all the time. I say the same thing hahaha :) I feel like I already live pretty authentically -- I'm not scared to be who I am. I'm sometimes expecting others to dislike me though, for that reason. It might be better to just expect people to love it all -- the weirdness and everything!

Not in the realm of being authentic but to step into a different "un-Iynna" personality... take thirst traps or hot selfies! I don't really have - part of that is I think I look stupid haha!

Oohhh. What's a "thirst trap?" I love the hot selfies idea - and you would not look stupid. I think we feel differently about our own pictures because the reflection we see is our whole self - inside our soul, including our insecurities, and our outside persona. I think maybe you could try it. You don't have to share them, but I bet they will be HOT! ;-)

A thirst trap is a hot / sexy picture (usually showing a bit of skin ;-) ) The official definition by Urban Dictionary (LOL) "A sexy photograph or flirty message posted on social media for the intent of causing others to publicly profess their attraction."Type thirst trap on google image and you'll see the point :)Maybe I should, I really just don't like looking at myself trying to pause, I look really silly I swear haha
