Talking to semi-strangers

If you've ever posted on Elpha anonymously you have a sense of how powerful it can be to detach yourself from your full identity when seeking advice, looking for next steps, etc. It's a super powerful tool to grow.

On Topknot, we use relative anonymity to drive growth. What does that mean? You and a peer will be matched based on similar topics and affinities (age, gender identity, ethnicity). You own the rest of your identity — name, bio, etc. If you say "I'm struggling with my boss" nobody needs to know where you work, for example.

Learn more about how this works in our latest blog, and you're always welcome to join us for a session (the first one is entirely free, and we promise you'll leave with greater clarity than when you came in).

I like this; I've found more genuine connections and help come when people are anonymous than behind a legitimate name.
Same. There's less posturing, you get deeper faster... it really makes a huge difference.
